Classification
Classification is one of the important topics of Reasoning. ‘Classification’ means to list the items of a given group on the basis of certain characteristics and then choose the ‘odd one out’. In classification questions, students are required to choose one item which does not fit into the group of similar items.
Types of Classification Questions
Odd one out
Example: Find out the ODD one from the given options:
- Axe
- Hammer
- Knife
- Sword
Solution: (b) All other object are used for cutting action except Hammer.
Selecting odd pair
Example: Find out the ODD pair from the given options:
- Oil : Lamp
- Power : Machine
- Oxygen : Life
- Water : Tap
